Painting the deck and eventually planning to publish it as a commercial tarot deck is such a long project that it becomes a journey in itself.

I really want to share this journey, and I have finally decided to do it with e-mails, old school letters! It feels right to write and share images like this instead of only using the big algorithm based social medias. I will continue to update Instagram, but all the juicy process stories and the behind the scenes- material I will share this way.

Each of the letters contain the story and background of one card, and varying art and magic related topics that have naturally come up during the process. These topics range from book and deck recommendations to painting tricks and esoteric things I’ve learned while making the deck. The letters are long, personal and there are also a lot of pictures.

I write the letters as letters to friends, current and new ones. I send the letters with a email-list style, and you can reply or comment by replying to the e-mail if you feel like it. I will reply. All the letters will be archived here on this page behind a password, which you get right when we become penpals!
